Day 6 :) ARRIVALS!!!
I started my day early today, and was at the airport way before my mom's plane could land and the flight was delayed! So,I just sat around watching the display board and everyone coming and going.
I love ARRIVALS :) I just love to watch people meeting after a gap, and you can even gauge the possible duration of separation and the intimacy between the person arriving and the receiving party.
You may have noticed that a fair share of people are so shy to display their emotions and yet something as small as the lighting up of their faces gives them away in an instant:)Its sweet! I sat there watching and smiling, and smiling some more :D Who ever said distance makes the heart grow fonder knew what he was talking about!
So there was this particular man who was really restless in the waiting area with me, he kept peeping through the glass, looking at his watch and the display TV so frequently I was starting to get a little nervous! I thought something must be wrong!
After a good twenty minutes, I saw his face transform into a light bulb! There were two small girls waving out! And he was bobbing up and down to see them clearly and he just couldn't contain himself any longer, and started blowing them kisses! Hehe :)
The kids went back in, (there are automatic doors so they keep closing)he got restless again! This time I was just grinning :D
Finally the kids come running out like balls from a cannon! There was a loud "Baba" in unison and they were both in his arms :) After showering them with kisses, he looks up and there!! The trolley with a zillion bags yes! But what shocked me more were there were three other kids and the wife!! :) He ran up and there were hugs :) and then it was just him and his wife, and he shook hands with her! Yes a HANDSHAKE!! The longest handshake that had a sort of sweet lingering to it, and they were just looking at each other and smiling, and he gave her a peck on her wrist! It was really the most romantic handshake I have ever seen !
I think I will be smiling the rest of the day today:)
Its so strange, I mean I have seen people kissing, holding hands, making out (absurdly sometimes if I may say so :P) many times before, but none of them made me smile that smile :)
I guess special things just have a way of standing out, and emotions are tricky things, the harder we try subduing them, the louder they speak :)
good observation and very nicely written :) ....!
